A life of service to others means you understand what people are going through. Our country is moving in the wrong direction, and our economy is only benefiting the well-off and well-connected. It’s time the people who make our economy work get the benefits of their labor.
AFFORDABLE HEALTHCARE
Dr. Todd sees firsthand his patients struggle with out-of-control costs and with insurance companies making huge profits while decreasing coverage. While Republicans are making healthcare more expensive, Todd will go to DC to bring our costs down, increase access, and fight for affordable, high-quality health care based on science, not politics.
RISING PRICES
The facts are the facts: costs are out of control, and Republicans are making it worse. People are working multiple jobs, living paycheck to paycheck, saving less, and experiencing more stress and anxiety. While everything from groceries to insurance is going up, they gave tax cuts to the ultra-rich.
IMMIGRATION REFORM
Trump lied when he said he’d deport the worst of the worst, and we are seeing the Administration’s ICE raids target hardworking people, veterans, and even American citizens. Todd believes in a path to citizenship and the value diversity brings to our community. He’ll fight to make sure law-abiding people can live their American Dream, too.
WOMEN’S RIGHTS
Dr. Todd specializes in women’s healthcare, particularly some of the toughest pregnancies, and believes women should make their own healthcare decisions, not the government.
ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY
Our part of Texas is especially susceptible to flooding and pollution, so we have to do more to combat the changing climate and protect the quality of our air and water. Our voice in Congress must stand up for the health of our communities and stand up against big polluters.
